Our admissions team will work with you to help determine what you qualify for and how we can keep your out-of-pocket costs as low as possible. Spouses and Gold-Star parents of qualified veterans may also be eligible for admission to TSVH. Spouses and Gold-Star parents must be in need of a skilled level of care to be considered for admission. The State of Tennessee employs more than 4,000 Veterans within 23 state departments.
Cleveland Waitlist Request Form
This form indicates interest in being added to our waiting list for the new Cleveland State Veterans Home, projected to open this Fall 2022. Upon completion of this form, you will be contacted by a representative from the Tennessee State Veterans’ Home to be officially added to the waiting list. Construction is underway on our new Tennessee State Veterans’ Home in Cleveland, Tennessee. This 108-bed home is situated on 28 acres in beautiful Bradley County and is a short drive to top medical centers in Cleveland and Chattanooga. The modern-rustic home will offer residents private rooms with shared common areas that feature ceiling-high stone fireplaces and cozy dining spaces.
Tennessee State Veterans’ Home is a long-term care and skilled nursing facility dedicated to caring for Tennessee veterans and their families. Consistently ranked in the top 3% for quality care according to CMS, Tennessee State Veterans’ Home has been a leader in Nursing Home care for over 25 years. We are currently looking for Certified Nurse Aides who will work closely with licensed Nurses and other team members to meet the needs of our residents and to ensure high quality care is maintained. The CNA will work with assigned residents to administer to their personal needs; bathing, feeding, daily hygiene, toileting, lifting, turning and repositioning. USDA wants to ensure that veterans looking to return home, or start a new career on a farm or in a rural community have the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.

Veterans who meet the minimum qualifications for open state preferred positions are guaranteed an interview. Preferred Service employees hold a position in an agency in the state service, in which the employee has successfully completed the requisite probationary period. Employees in Preferred Service have a streamlined appeals process for appreciation of a law, rule or policy by an agency which results in dismissal, demotion or certain suspensions. We encourage anyone interested in volunteering to contact the home after it has opened and request to speak with the Activities Director. Our Activities Department will be the team coordinating all volunteer efforts. Yes, individuals who are eligible for admission may have the option of admitting to a different Tennessee State Veterans’ Home location and requesting to transfer once the new facility is open. All operations are conducted equitably and inclusively, free from unlawful discrimination, harassment and retaliation. TSVH is committed in policy, principle, and practice to maintaining an employment environment which prohibits all discriminatory behavior and provides equal opportunity for all persons we encounter.

Must be a caring individual who is willing to assist in any way possible to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. Individual must be able to work independently and make decisions when circumstances warrant to meet the needs of residents and be flexible in work habits to meet needs of residents or nursing staff. Yes, even if you never served in a war , you may still be eligible for admission to Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes. We make it our mission to provide the highest level of care possible to our residents. Not only do we serve honorably discharged veterans, we also serve their spouses, widows or widowers, and Gold-Star parents. All of our State Veterans’ Homes are long-term care and skilled nursing rehabilitation facilities.

The Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans’ Home is a 140-bed facility nestled in rural West Knoxville. This beautiful countryside home offers spacious living areas, recreation rooms, and is a short drive to Knoxville’s top hospitals. The home consists of multiple outdoor patios where residents and guests can often be found relaxing in the sun or taking in the scenic views. Residents also enjoy frequent visits from local veteran organizations and community members who assist with resident activities and events. At Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes, we take the care of our American Heroes and their families very seriously. Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to follow the highest level of infection control practices to ensure the safety of our residents and dedicated staff members.
